Now that I am back for 2.5 weeks

Why bother right? Well, one because I live here now and 2 because the 6th annual ”Power to the Peaceful” concert was happening in Golden Gate Park!

There is an artist here called Michael Franti (Spearhead) who is SF’s son in the way Prince is in MN, equally cool and aware. It’s a political and peace rally, concert, etc, a true initiation into NoCal! The day started early with about 1000 people doing yoga together, how cool is that!?!

It was a really great day it made me really great-full that I live in Berkeley though because “the fog” was hanging around all day I think in Minneapolis we would call it “drizzle”. The fact that on the Berkeley side of the bay it has been perfect makes me wonder why anyone lives in the city; it’s easy enough to visit.

I’ve been doing some research on line for jobs and the like and checking out the yoga scene, still thinking about what will pay my rent in December. Oh and I replanted some of the plants from out front that weren’t happy there, I planted a Calalily from my friend Susan in a pot out front, who knew they weren’t just “cut flowers” ?

What I did on my vacation to Minneapolis 8/8-9/8 2006

First of all, I celebrated by having some of the worst allergies I can remember which lasted for my entire time there ending up in a cold of which I am still coughing here but no allergies in CA!
Second I drove up to Pequot Lakes to shoot a lovely intimate wedding only to return to the Brainerd Lakes area a week later to photograph another wedding, how is the possible?

Remember when you danced like no one was watching?

This time, however I went to my friend Andrea’s family cabin and stayed with 2 old friends and met 2 new friends along with Andrea’s mom. We all called in sick the following Monday just to enjoy one more lovely day!

I also got to photograph many of my clients in the studio and on location, in a word: busy. My favorite shoot by far was of my good friend Laura’s now one year on earth twin boys. They were born last August 24th at a little over a pound each, as you can see they’ve grown! This was at the end of the shoot they were both doing so well, by the time it got to me they were a little over it all! But I just had to get them a little Berkeley tie dye to represent!

And that was my vacation to Minneapolis, thanks to all who spent time with me over drinks or dinner or a walk and to my sister to letting me crash at her place!
